British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos announced on Wednesday night. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

Joshua had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge comes as the global fight fans shared its support for the star in the following the devastating accident.
